    hi,

i am a junior at tufts university double majoring in international relations and arabic with a minor in economics (gpa 3.48). i became very interested in medicine during my summer internship with the UN in pakistan and decided i really want to go to med school. i took chem 1 and bio 1 to make sure i wanted to continue and got an A in bio but a C in chem. i had planned to finish all the prerequisites within a year and half after graduating, take the MCAT and apply two years after graduation.

I have pretty solid extra curriculars, several years of consistent volunteer work (habitat for humanity, working at a homeless shelter for 2 years, and coaching little league), and have started shadowing physicians.

Basically, I wanted some input about my plan (or lack thereof) and would love any advice – especially considering the bad grade in chem.

    Thanks!
