    i believe your fifth point (experience) should be more important than the summation of all the other points. the most important is to present your professional experiences in a clear, ordered, decent and impressive way, through documents and interviews.

    scholarships are generally available if we re going to apply for PhD in sciences like bio and chem. the competition is keen, however. schs like harvard or stanford generally accept those who have a v strong background in scientific research.

    experiences are asolutely more important than gre and gpa, esp. u have left univ for a period of time and have considerable work experiences. just be confident and gd luck!!

    gpa is something comparative, not absolute.
    a gpa of 3.2 in the best univ is surely better than a 3.8 in a so-so univ.
    gre isnt as important as gpa, and gpa isnt as important as experiences.
