    Hello everyone!

The Financial Times has a nice article about how Bain is looking to up their recruiting game against tech companies as well as other consulting firms. (Yes. It’s a great time to be an MBA student!)

The article quotes Bain’s chief recruiter stating that the consulting firm is looking to hire a record number of summer interns and that they snag 90% of the MBA graduates to whom they extend offers. The article, linked above, says the average consulting salary is $150,000 with a signing bonus of $25,000 and performance bonuses that go over $40,000.

Perhaps most importantly though, since the first job out of b-school shouldn’t be the only consideration for MBA applicants who are hopefully taking a long-term view of their prospective ROI, are the arguments made for starting your post-MBA career in consulting instead of tech.

Best of luck with your applications!

    Sincerely,
