Hello everyone!
UVA’s Darden School of Business announced it received a $15 million gift from the Batten Foundation that, courtesy of a triggered matching gift, will create a new fund that will ensure that by 2020, all full-time MBA students will be able to attend a 7 to 10 day course abroad, led by a Darden faculty member, at no additional cost. For reference, these courses usually cost about $3,000.
We’re big proponents of study abroad and our MBA alumni who spend even a week abroad usually describe the experience as one of their most enriching. 3K is ‘chump change’ when you consider the total cost of a full-time MBA, but we’re still anxious to see how this new enticement may affect Darden’s future rankings.
Best of luck with your applications!
Sincerely,
David Petersam
