Hello everyone!
The ABA has sanctioned two more law schools for lax admissions. The two schools the ABA has publicly censured are Valparaiso and the for-profit Charlotte School of Law. (In August, the ABA publicly announced it put Ave Maria on a remedial plan to ensure compliance in June. Hence, there are now three ABA schools that have been publicly censured for lax admissions.)
Both schools have already raised their median and 25 percentile LSAT scores and will look to continue to improve these metrics with the hopes it will also ultimately raise their bar passage rates. It’s probably worth noting that both schools have had to cut enrollment to meet these goals and both have also mentioned this will negatively impact their diversity efforts.
Best of luck with your applications!
Sincerely,
