The National Law Journal released their top 50 “go-to” law schools today. The list is based on the percentage of graduates who take associate jobs at the top 100 law firms. Columbia Law School led the pack with a whopping 57.07% of graduates taking an associate position at a top 100 law firm. University of Chicago Law School was second with 48.84%. Among the top 50 law schools, 24% of graduates took associate positions with the top 100 law firms.
So, just in case you had any doubt, if your goal is to work for a large law firm, your chances will be greatly improved if you attend a top law school.
