    Hello everyone!

The University of Houston and the University of North Texas both received approval from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board to start medical schools. University of Houston has already raised $35 million and North Texas has already raised enough to waive tuition for the first year for its inaugural class. Both schools are now free to begin pursuing accreditation.

There is some concern that the additional state funds these schools will need could affect the number of residency positions Texas can offer.

Best of luck with your applications!

All states need more school seats and more residencies. Good for Texas!
