Hello everyone!
An Inside Higher Ed essay penned by the Executive Director of the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation argues colleges should do away with early admissions. (The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation recently published a report that found representation at the top colleges is over represented in families with the highest 25% of income and under represented in families with income in the bottom 25%.) The crux of the author’s argument is that low-income applicants aren’t taking advantage of the early admissions process.
Do you believe early admissions should be done away with or that more education may be needed among the lower income college applicants?
Best of luck with your applications!
Sincerely,
