Purdue to start graduating liberal arts majors in 3 years

Hello everyone!

Purdue just announced that most of their liberal arts major freshmen will be able to graduate in three years under a new program called “Degree in Three.” The initiative is touted for its ability to help students save on their college educations and begin their careers a year sooner. The program also has some other benefits such as priority class registration and access to university leadership, key alumni and guest speakers.

As we’ve stated numerous times before, we’re all for innovation and this is a great example of an innovative program that could be copied by many other schools if it meets with success. Furthermore, we wouldn’t be at all surprised if applications from liberal arts majors see a significant increase this admission season.
