    Hello everyone!

The AAMC has released some new recommended “traffic rules” for the 2019 medical school application season. The main difference to applicants will be later in the season when they hear admissions decisions.

Medical schools will have until March 15 to admit at least enough applicants to fill every spot in their class. By April 30, admitted applicants will be required to select their school and the waitlists should be significantly easier to sort through. (Waitlisted applicants will be required to report if they have already matriculated at another school and we suspect this will work against their waitlist chances barring some legal challenge.)

Our advice is to carefully consider your options if you are fortunate enough to get many options and understand that when it comes to US medical schools, there really are no bad options. Once you select your school, don’t look back and get prepared to pursue your medical school dreams!

Best of luck with your applications!

    Sincerely,
