The number of June LSAT test takers, 27,606, increased 19.8% from 2016 to register the largest increase in over 15 years. Law.com has speculated the increase is largely due to an interest in fighting the Trump administration.
While that could be part of it, the strengthening legal market probably deserves some credit for this surge. And, of course, we’re not hearing “Resistance” as a main reason for law school from our clients. In summary, we’d like to see harder evidence such as a credible exit survey before reaching such conclusions.
