Hello everyone!
Harvard Medical School received a $200 million gift, the biggest in the school’s history from the Blavatnik Family Foundation. The gift will be used to hire researchers and build an incubator to bring promising promising technological advances to market. What makes this gift truly unusual, is that it also supports research into areas of interest to researchers even if there are no foreseeable applications.
Harvard University’s president, Lawrence S. Bacow, stated, “This gift will support not just Harvard Medical School specifically but the entire health sciences ecosystem at Harvard.”
Best of luck with your applications!
Sincerely,
David Petersam
