    Hello everyone!

CNN has undertaken a study of the relationship between doctors who prescribe opioids and how much opioid manufacturers pay them. Not surprisingly, they seem to have found evidence that the more opioids doctors prescribe, the more money they make. The article linked above details the methodology behind their study and sheds light on how the opioid industry tries to circumvent government regulations by neither listing the specific drug the payment is linked to (even though they’re supposed to) and the doctor’s specialties.

Hopefully this study spurs some action to require more transparent reporting and we can start fighting the growing opioid epidemic more effectively.

Best of luck with your applications!

    Sincerely,
