We have bad news to report as the year winds down. The answer sheets of 53 Long Island high school ACT test takers’ October tests apparently have been lost by the ACT. The students will be able to retake the test for free early next year though many of them undoubtedly will want to study again to ensure everything is still fresh in their minds. If there is a tinge of good news to this, it’s that most colleges will make exceptions should the students have chosen application deadlines that required the ACT test results earlier.
Letting them retake the test for free after such a major screw up is akin to what United did kicking off the passenger after they overbooked and refused to offer more than $800 for passengers to give up their seats.
