Hi there. I have some questions about entering the Medical school in the US. I am doing the Medical Science program in the international college in Thailand now and I am wondering whether they will accept my GPA of the pre-req. courses that I take here or not since the college is based on the American system. Also, what if I really want to attend the medical school there and basically I am willing to work there afterwards, is there any possiblility that they will somehow give me better consideration? If somehow I can get into a Medical school, are there any posibility to get a student loan , since I am not a citizen (but again, I am willing to pay them all back after I start working Thanks for your time.

You should post this on the “Ask Admissions Consultants” thread under the “Admission” section of the Medical School forums.

I can tell you briefly though that most schools will require a Bachelor’s Degree from an American college or something that they know is equivalent. As for loans, you will not be eligible for federal loans (the low-interest loans) at all. You will have to use private loans, perhaps from a bank.
