I’m considering puruing a law degree. My undergraduate degree is in music and I will probably pursue intellectual property law. However, I have two concerns. My undergrad GPA is low. Also, I have no references from profesors or employers (I’m a musician, so I’m primarily freelance).
Are there post graduate, but non-masters courses, that can be taken to help alleviate the low GPA?
You should post this on the “Ask Admissions Consultants” thread.
As for the references, you have to make that happen. You need to develop professional relationships with teachers and employers to get those references.
In terms of courses, if you don’t want to do a graduate program, you should take what are called “post-baccalaureate” courses. The Admissions Consultants will be able to give you a little more information about that and you can also contact schools you might like to attend for these courses or peruse their websites to get information. One thing I would advise is to not do classes at a community college.
