    Hi,

I plan to obtain an MBA degree in the near future. Currently, I’m studying for the GRE while working full time in a hospital. I’m in my mid twenties.

I have a B.S. in health science, however, I would like to pursue an MBA in either sales, marketing, or health care administration.

I wanted to know what technical skills I would need to improve in order to be a competitive candidate for MBA schools? I realize verbal and quantitative skills are a must, anything else?

Also, I eventually want to open a business of my own. What classes would you recommend I should take in order to succeed? I plan to take elective entrepreneurial courses during my studies, but are there other courses I may not know of?

Finally, I want to work in a non-profit organization and do charity work in my later years. Hopefully, my MBA school and work experience will suffice when I reach that destination.

What would you recommend I specialize in?(Out of the three choices stated above)

    Any advice will be appreciated.

    Thank You

Hi and welcome to Admissions Boards!

You should look at what skills you will need for your future career to determine what skills to work on now.

    Best of luck!

Good suggestion, I did think about that. I was hoping that experienced employees would be able to provide insight that a novice may not foresee.

I think you would like to pursue an MBA in health care administration. Known way is always better for move.
