Wondering how much poor freshman grades will hurt

I did really poorly my freshman year but have improved ever since. ARe top schools out of the question?

It depends how bad and how much you have improved. Generally improvement is good thing because it shows you have put a lot of effort in and really tried. If you are looking at the top law schools though, your recent grades will need to be mostly A’s.
