My husband is driving me crazy about possibly leaving the active duty army to go to medical school. The army has a program in place where they will pay for this, my question is what are his chances? His Bachelors degree is in Music, and although he did very well in his sciences (which will have to be retaken since they are over 5 years old) he did not concentrate in them at all. He also has no medical background and has been in the military since finishing his degree. What do you think his chances of getting into med school are and what can be done to improve them?

Hi Dragonfly and welcome to Admissions Boards!

If your husband has good grades and can convince the schools he contributes a diverse perspective, he might have a shot.

    Best of luck!
