Hi, I am a psychology major, but I would like to go to graduate school for public policy. My grades are good, but I went to another school a few years ago, where my grades were not so good, and my major there was international relations. I did psychology because I am interested in it, and at first, had thought that I wanted to go into educational psychology, but now I think public policy is the way to go. Before I was majoring in international relations and I’m afraid that the not great grades from that major may not bode well for me here. I am also involved in research now, but it’s neuroscience research, which is not at all what I want to do. I had for a very short moment thought that maybe I would do that. Are these things going to work against me? I’m not applying to any amazing schools, but I wonder if I should lower my standards further?
