I was dismissed after my 2nd term cumulative GPA dipped below a 2.0 for my school. I was in the accelerated program which allowed me to graduate in 2 years instead of the traditional 3 years. Basically, because of 2nd term GPA and since I was taking only 3 classes during summer instead of 5, I ended up dismissed on a technicality (low GPA) as well as school policy (accelerated students don’t get the same length AP as others). Sooo…long story short, I’m in grad school now for masters (3.6 GPA) and I’m trying to figure out how to get back into law school in the next year or so. Any suggestions of schools to look that may be more inclined to take formerly dismissed students?

Hi firetoad17 and thanks for joining AdmissionsBoards!

I’m sorry to hear about your predicament. Hopefully, with time and good grades in other coursework you will find a school that will give you the well-deserved second chance.

I wish I could name specific schools, but I’m stumped on this one.

    Best of luck!
