Are my chances at gaining admission to a top five law school hindered if I take the LSAT in September rather than June, thereby missing the October application deadline and applying by the November deadline instead? I have a 3.98 GPA and am a Fulbright Scholar, as well as Rhodes Scholarship finalist. Currently I am testing in the high 160s, but I haven’t broken the 170 barrier. Should I wait until September, after having a chance to study for more than just 2 or 3 weeks?
Basically, am I better off with a 169 and an application that rolls in in time for the first deadline, or with a 173 that rolls in by late October?
