There is a limited number of testing locations for the August 2004 MCAT outside of the United States. To get more information about the locations, please go to:

    http://www.aamc.org/students/mcat/international.htm

It seems that there will not be a test site in Nigeria for the August 2004 test. The American Association of Medical Colleges (which administers the MCAT) offers discounted rates on the test fee to those that can demonstrate extreme financial need.

Oh, and if you are asking about scholarships for medical school, most schools usually have a small handful that they offer out to only the most competitive students that they have admitted (maybe 5-20 offers at most).

There are not many other medical school scholarships however. The Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) offer two types of awards to medical students, each for $5000/yr for 4 years, but United States citizenship may be a requirement. The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation has a general graduate school scholarship program that awards about 35 scholarships for full tuition and a stipend for up to 6 yrs of study for which students entering medical school are eligible. However, that may also require United States citizenship.

Other scholarships have to be found through searches, like using http://www.fastweb.com. Your country may offer special scholarships to attend school in the United States or your country’s embassy in the United States may have a scholarship program. Federal financial aid is only available to United States citizens.
