retaking gmat

Hi,
I got a gmat score of 640 (Q 47/81%, V 32/65%). I was expecting above 700 since i got 680 and 710 in the prep tests.
I am targetting AGSM,MBS in australia and Thunderbird,Texas A&M for spring 2009 intake.
How good are my chances of getting an admit in any of these? If i get a good TOEFL score, will that outweigh my low gmat verbal score?

Should I retake the gmat and get my scores to the 700 mark?

I recommend getting a private tutor. Or,if you haven’t already, take a GMAT prep couse from a very good teacher (the ones who scored at least 770 on the GMAT).
