The ACT lost 40 June exams that were taken in Western Washington. Apparently, the proctor delivered them to FedEx and the shipper has not been able to find them. Those 40 students will be allowed to take the ACT again.
We realize the free retake is not a welcome consolation. Additionally, it’s the fraction of one percent that make the news as 99+% of the exams experience no such hitches.
However, the lesson from this is to promptly question the test administration if the score does not arrive. According to Kiro7, it took some prodding from a parent to get the ACT to come clean about the FedEx glitch.
