    Hi guys,
I’m currently a Business major (finance and accounting) major at a highly ranked Canadian University (Simon Fraser University). For a variety of personal reasons, I’ve decided that practicing American law is my ultimate career goal.

My question is, do you think my chances at a top 25 school will be hindered by the fact that I am an international applicant? Will my canadian undergrad degree essentially be considered equal to an average state college degree since most admissions counsel will not be familiar with my school?
With a strong LSAT (165+), what are my chances of getting in a top 25 law school (particularly Cali schools… mainly UCLA and USC).

Could I use my Canadian background as well as my ethinic minority status to my advantage during application (in terms of diversity qualification)?

Also, how does my background affect my job prospects once I’ve graduated. My student visa will likely expire soon after graduating so I need to secure a job ASAP after finisihing school. I understand current economic conditions give bismal prospects, but I wont be completing Law school until approx 2008 (who knows where things will be then?)

    thanks for all the help,
    I really appreciate it.
