Demand for Part-Time Faculty Grows

Aspiring professors, take note: a recent report from the Department of Education confirms what many academics have concluded from personal experience, that a growing proportion of teaching positions are part-time.

According to the Department’s study, full-time faculty positions grew by just under 15 per cent between 1993 and 2003 — but part-time positions grew by 43.7 per cent.
