I posted this another section, could I get your opinion?
I graduated in 05 from Southwestern Univ with a gpa of 3.3 and a degree in Biology. I applied once, got waitlisted, and eventually cut. I’ve taken the MCAT twice now (26N, 28L).
I am currently working as a clinical research coordinator. I am in charge of about 12 ongoing clinical studies, have helped write an independent study, and will be published in less than a year. My position requires a great deal of my time (~12hrs, 5-6days/wk)and i therefore have no room for courses to boost my GPA, nor did i have time to focus on my last mcat.
Do schools look closely enough at my application to notice that my time is dedicated to things like patient care and research, which i personally think are more beneficial? Or do they stop at grades, which, as one can see, are not that impressive?
Regards,
Aaron
