Hello everyone!
U.S. News & World Report just released their latest graduate school rankings. The rankings included education and engineering programs along with business, law, medicine and nursing.
Education Top Five: UCLA, Harvard and Wisconsin-Madison (tied for second), Stanford and U Penn (tied for fourth). Last year UCLA was ranked number three and the school was outside the top five two years ago.
Engineering Top Five: MIT, Stanford, Berkeley and Cal Tech and Michigan (tied for fourth). There was little movement here. Last year Carnegie Mellon was tied for fifth with Michigan.
Please don’t choose one school over another just because it is ranked only one or two notches above the other. There is no guarantee that ranking will be the same when you are getting ready to graduate. All of the top schools are excellent choices for the right students, so please apply to those programs that best fit your personal needs and preferences and don’t much too much stock in any set of rankings.
Best of luck with your applications!
Sincerely,
David Petersam
