Ok, I am definitely very worried. I have a good g.p.a., 3.73, but my score on the MCAT was not good at all. I got a 10 in bs, but only 6 in vr and ps. However, there were major problems that occurred on test day and I DEFINITELY feel that those problems impacted how I performed considering that on my practice tests, I was scoring 11 in vr and 8 in ps. I wrote MCAT and they wrote me back and told me that I should write a letter and include the letter that they had sent to me, acknowledging the horrible circumstances, to the various medical schools where I applied. I am an Illinois resident, and would really like to go to Chicago Medical School, Rush, UIC, or Southern University Medical School. I have volunteer and clinical research experience, as well as other decent extracurricular activities. I am very much hoping that at least a couple of the medical schools where I applied will take into consideration my practice test scores and the nightmare that occurred on the actual test day. I hate the idea of thinking that one horrible test day has completely ruined all of my chances of getting into medical school. I was wondering if anyone had any advice to give me, especially about the four IL schools that I mentioned, I would definitely appreciate it.
Thank you,
worried
