    We had some NFL predictions and with the season nearly over, let’s look ahead. What do you think of Joe Gibbs? Has the game passed him by? How will the Redskins do with him back next season?

    I say 8-8.

    There is some talent there. Gibbs needs a running back though. Even with the same talent as last year, I’m very confident he will do better than Steve Superior.

    Have you seen the assistants and coaching staff GIbbs has put together? I don’t think the game has passed him by but even if it has, it hasn’t gotten past that impressive list of assistants.

    He traded for Portis since your post. If Portis stays healthy, Gibbs will have a running game behind an average O line.

    Gibbs is good and I expect the team to soon be playing above .500 but he’s no Parcells so don’t expect the Skins to win 10 games next year.

    Anyone know who he has on his staff who is so good? I’m not saying his staff sucks, but I hadn’t heard about any big name assistants.

    Good post PHantastic and thanks for duly noting the time stamp on the earlier comment about the running game.

    Yeah, the Portis for Bailey trade happened after my Jan post. I think their offense will be much beter.
