Hi Subhash and thanks for your inquiry. Please post future inquiries to the Ask AdmissionsConsultants thread if you want a quick response from us.
hi…
am planning to apply for the mba schools in Europe and UK. I am retaking my gmat because i wasn’ t happy with my score. i have 4 yrs of work experience in the field of marketing. i secured an aggregate of 50 % marks in my graduation. i would like to know if my graduation marks would hinder my chances of securing an admission.
could u also please tell me as to what gmat score do i need to target given my background.
It is impossible to give you an answer based on the information provided above. Your academic qualifications (grades and GMAT) account for less than 50% of the admissions decision at the top schools. Leadership potential, extracurriculars, career progression, etc account for the majority of the decision. Additionally, there is a wide range of GMAT scores at most schools and you may need to be closer to the top of that range based on your demographic group and other factors.
Finally, we only encourage you to retake the GMAT if you are confident you can increase your score by at least 30 points. You are certainly welcome to peruse our free GMAT prep section (www.admissionsconsultants.com/gmat/) if you would like an additional study tool.
would greatly appreciate your response.
regards.
