Okay, so I would like to go into medical school. I do not know exactly what field I would like…either Veterinary Medicine, Microbiology, or Oncology. I am a freshman in college at a community college, and I plan to transfer out to a university/4 year college. I do not know where to start because my parents did not go to college, so they have no clue on where to steer me. Please help me! I will take any help at all! I appreciate it. Thank you everyone so much.

You should begin challenging yourself. Go to a very competitive 4 year school for starters. Otherwise, you will be wasting your time.

I don’t think being in school is ever a waste of time, no matter what college you are attending… just do the best you can, wherever you are! Get good grades, go premed and excel in the prereq’s, do volunteer and service in your field of choice, and study hard for the MCATs, talk to doctors or anyone that may be able to answer your questions… most of all remember that your goal is attainable and keep striving. It sounds like you are on the right track now! Good luck[:)]
