    GPA: 3.56
    science gpa: 3.6

    mcat: 30 (should i retake? i am only a soph right now)

    extracurricular:

    american medical association club member 1 year
    american medical association publicity office 1 year
    clinical volunteer at local hospital 200+ hours
    soup kitchens on thurs 100+ hours
    humanitarian activities every sat 100+ hours (convalescent homes, beach clean-ups, elderly houses)

    jobs:

    private tutor for 2 years (2 hours a week)(subjects: math / english)
    private tutor for dispriviledged kids little over a month
    EMT-1 (15-20 hours a week) 1 year
    GOnna take phlebotomy class in summer and try to get a job in that too

    I know my GPA/MCATS are pretty low, but i will try realli hard next year (junior) to bring my gpa and mcat score

    Is there anything else i can do to strengthen my application?

    I would say for most med schools across the US your scores are not low, but for CA they may be. The most important thing would be to increase your MCAT score and keep up your GPA.!
