I am finishing my last year of graduate study at Syracuse University (I am getting my MFA in Art Media Studies, Art Video in May) and I have a GPA of atleast 3.6 (probably higher at graduation).
My undergraduate work was done in sculpture at Kent State University in Ohio, and I graduated with a 2.2 accumulative (with a BFA in 2000).
I will be taking the LSAT this December and I have no idea what I will score.
I am a practicing artist who has only taken classes in philosophy, literature, and the visual arts (and technology). (My family has a history in politics, so that is my interest in law.) My question is, does my fine art background and my low undergrad GPA hurt my chances at most law schools? Also, are there any schools you can suggest where my academic background would be more embraced than a traditional law applicant’s?
