Hello everyone!
Stanford Law School received its largest alumni gift when William A. Franke donated $25 million to commemorate the school’s 125th anniversary and endow the school’s Global Initiative which has now been renamed the W. A. Franke Global Law Program. Beginning in 2020, Stanford will offer a global quarter which will consist of six weeks of class and three to four weeks of travel to meet lawyers, politicians and business leaders abroad. The first global quarter is going to focus on Asia.
Associate Dean Robert Danes stated, “No other law school offers the kind of intense immersion overseas that this program will provide our students. With the global quarter, a global foundational course, intensive overseas study trips and greater integration of transnational law into existing core courses, Stanford Law is shaping the future of legal education by ensuring that every student has the opportunity to cultivate a global perspective.”
Best of luck with your applications!
Sincerely,
