Hello everyone!
Following a $61 million donation to the medical school founded by Hofstra University and Northwell Health by Donald and Barbara Zucker, the medical school has now been renamed the Zucker School of Medicine. The Zuckers have donated to Northwell Health in the past.
Lawrence Smith, the founding dean of the medical school, stated, “Their generosity will ensure that our medical school will continue to be represented by a highly diverse, talented student body that reflects the communities we serve throughout the New York metropolitan area.”
