Just an FYI that McGuireWoods LLP has filed a class action lawsuit against BAR/BRI and Kaplan. A federal judge recently certified the class action lawsuit and installed a special master.
The suit claims BAR/BRI and Kaplan entered into a secret agreement under which BAR/BRI agreed not to enter the LSAT business and to pay Kaplan several hundred thousand dollars for not entering the bar review business. The suit further claims the result of this lawsuit was that as many as 300,000 clients overpaid for test prep services by as much as $1,000 each.
