ParticipantMuslim women are NOT oppressed, contrary to wide belief. We are EQUAL to men. We wear the scarf to cover ourselves from the whistling and following eyes of men. Men do NOT deserve to lay their eyes on OUR beauty. We are protected from being a toy of men. Men are not allowed to look at our private parts. How can people bear the shame of exposing your navel to a non-married man. Oh and the so-called Americanize ‘liberated’ and ‘free’ women are being raped-most by their own partners.
We are LIBERATED. Yes, we are NOT oppressed due to our religion. Islam gave us and continues 2 give us rights-rights that the christians and jewish women did not have.Did you know that some time ago, christian men were trying to decide weather we’re humans or devils.
Oh- and do the Bibles not blame EVE for the descension from heaven? The Qoran places equal blame on both Adam and Eve.
Please be open minded and research the true Islam.

Participantit’s all relative. muslim women think american women are living bad lives, and vice versa. the truth lies somewhere in the middle, although it must be said that, if an american is ever caught cheating on her husband, she probably won’t be stoned to death by angry villagers. muslim women, on the other hand, would gladly welcome a stoning rather than the sick punishments they are made to endure. again, it’s all relative.

Contrary to wide belief, not all non-Muslims are ignorant of Islam. Do you feel that admissions boards in the US support applications from Muslim women?

ParticipantThis is a joke! You’re vile views towards us “infidels” is only very thinly disguised.
But in the interest of open dialog, let me throw out a few other websites for a more balanced viewpoint:
http://www.faithfreedom.org
http://www.thereligionofpeace.com
http://www.420megs.com/users/undressing-islam/two-faces-of-quran.htmAnd if we want to discuss the true Islam, shouldn’t we examine a bit about it’s founder? I’m certainly glad Jesus Christ wasn’t a murderer, rapist, or pedaphile.

ParticipantIn July of 2006 an individual with the screenname of iceman posted the following: “I’m certainly glad Jesus Christ wasn’t a murderer, rapist, or pedaphile.” He was impling that the prophet of Islam (peace be upon him) was all of these and worse. My first question to him if he is reading this is, what gives you the right to say such evil things about another human being, whether he is a prophet or not. You are not saying this because it is true, but because you are trying to propagate your hidden, yet poorly done so, agenda: to badmouth Islam and all of its followers. I must ask would the prophet Jesus (peace be upon him) that you somehow consider to be yours and only yours advocate such an ignorant display of your religion. Attempting to elevate yourself at the cost of others is evil and wrong and the religion you claim to follow would not advocate this behavior. Such a sin, atleast in Islam, is known as insurrection of religion and is one of the gravest sins a Muslim can commit. While on the matter, yes terrorists too committ this sin and thus I do not consider them to be Muslim. Christianity as a religion if followed properly can lead lead to eternal bliss; there is nothing wrong with its TRUE followers, but it is sad that certain people consider themselves to be Christian when in fact, they are not. If you were Christian you would not act in this way. You are no better than a terrorist; a person who uses the face of their religion to further their selfish and greedy goals. These men who claim to be Muslims are not and in the same token you cause others to claim what your religion is as well. Quite frankly, I feel sorry for your choice but of course your fate is not in my hands but in the hands of God, the same God I worship and the God that you claim to worship.
In addition, this forum pertains to admissions and muslim women. I hope that you are not considering admission to any professional school, for knowledge of the simple fact that you would post a comment such as this would make you a poor candidate for any school, whether it is law, medicine, etc. I shall end with a reccomendation; iceman, please take into consideration what I said. It is in your best interst to reassess what is important you in terms of your religion? Ask yourself whether your comments help you in your faith or hurt it? Would God support your choice of words? Obviously I cannot begin to address what you need to do in order to strengthen your faith, but in the end I hope of the best for you and everyone else as long as it is willed by God.

ParticipantI’m so glad you’re hear to say peace be upon him and not judge people. I guess you wouldn’t judge Hitler or Saddam either. And least of all you would never judge Bush or iceman.
The only words I know for a person who massacres his prisoners of war is a criminal and a mass murderer.
The only word I know for someone who at the age of 54 becomes aroused by a 9-year-old child is pedophile.
The only word I know that describes a person who raids merchant caravans and steals their goods is highway robber.
The only words that I know for someone who captures human beings and sells them or asks for ransom to release them is a slave merchant and terrorist.
The only word that I know for someone who forces himself on a captured woman in the same day that he kills her father, husband and many of her relatives is a rapist.
The only word that I know that describes a person who sends his men to kill his opponents in the middle of the night traitorously is an assassin.
The truth hurts and the truth is the religion of peace hasn’t brought much peace or progress to its followers.
“A man can have sex with animals such as sheep, cows, camels and so on. However, he should kill the animal after he has his orgasm. He should not sell the meat to the people in his own village; however, selling the meat to the next door village should be fine.”
Khomeini’s book, “Tahrirolvasyleh” fourth volume, Darol Elm, Gom, Iran, 1990
“If one commits the act of sodomy with a cow, a ewe, or a camel, their urine and their excrement become impure, and even their milk may no longer be consumed. The animal must then be killed and as quickly as possible and burned.”

Philosophical, Social and Religious, ISBN number 0-553-14032-9, page 47

ParticipantGood to hear from peaceful Muslims.
I’m sure you were loudly against the whipping of the teacher for naming a teddy bear after Mo. I’m sure you were also loudly protesting 9/11 and the hijacking of your peaceful and extremely tolerant religion. I’m sure you’re also loudly protesting the way infidels have no rights in majority Muslim countries.
Maybe you should be open minded and research the true Islam and the true behavior of its founder.
