I am graduating from the University of Hawaii this semester with a BA in Ethinc Studies and I have decided to apply to Med school instead of teaching. The only science I have under my belt is Bio 101 with a lab – so my question is what classes do I need to take before I apply to Med school?

All medical schools require applicants to have taken 1 year of Biology with lab, 1 year of General Cemistry with lab, 1 year of Physics with lab, and 1 year of Organic Chemistry with lab. Only a handful of LCME-accredited medical schools require 1 year of mathematics, but this can be anything like precalculus and calculus 1 rather than calculus 1 and 2.
