It’s never good to do poorly in any of the required premedical courses, but doing so won’t blow you out of the water just yet. Retaking those courses, for example, and getting an A would help alleviate some of the worry in the minds of the AdCom. Doing well on the MCAT Physical Sciences section, which is composed of both Gen Chem and Physics, would further serve to dampen the doubt.
Then again, you may be an applicant from MIT who’s taking the toughest section of those two courses and would’ve gotten As at any lesser institution.
As I’ve been reiterating all night, two data points doesn’t give us enough information to make an accurate evaluation.
