    One other thing.

I wanted to apply to the University of Chicago early decision.

Will this increase my chances of being accepted?

    and

If they do not offer very much financial aid (I have zero money saved off of the teacher’s salary, zero assets, no home, etc.) and I wait to see where I can get more money and acceptance, thus rejecting U of C’s offer, will I then be unable to go there at all? I know it is binding early decision, but I’ve heard from others that binding does not always mean totally binding. The reason I ask is that I would also be absolutely thrilled to attend Northwestern–I love the strength and emphasis of the clinical programs…Are the differences between the two really enough to make a difference in the job market? At the same time, the teaching at U of C is supposed to be amazing–as a teacher, I would love to be around teachers that are good at what they do and enjoy doing it! Socratic method would be good for me.

    Thanks again,
    Cason

P.S. This is obviously being quite presumptuous. I will throw a gigantic party if I get accepted to any top twenty school, much less U of C! I’m just speaking hypothetically here.

    Cason,

Thank you for your additional questions.

I *strongly* encourage you to take seriously the binding early decision clause. That said, don’t apply to Chicago early decision if it is not your first choice.

If you would like to discuss this further please feel free to email lawschool@admissionsconsultants.com

    Good luck,
    Renee
