The University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore announced it is constructing a 450,000 square foot research facility to attract top-tier scientists and researchers to help facilitate new advances for serious diseases. The plan is that the new talent, which is expected to be largely hired by 2020, to attract a significant amount of additional federal funding to help justify the cost of this investment. If you are a few years from medical school and you’re interested in a school with strong research in brain disorders, cancer and cardiovascular-metabolic diseases, you may want to consider Maryland.
Best of luck with your applications!
