I wanted to point your attention to a research paper published by three BYU professors that is titled “Speed Matters” that found “a strong statistically significant positive correlation between total words written on first year law school examinations and grades.”
While law schools may have a ways to go in terms of teaching conciseness (most judges tend to frown on overly wordy filings), we thought this tidbit might be helpful for our readers as we assume you understand the importance of strong 1L grades.
Best of luck with your applications!
