The Stanford University School of Medicine has added a new master’s program in physician assistant (PA) studies that will begin next fall. This will effectively replace the current associate’s program offered in collaboration with Foothill College, a nearby commuter 2-year school.
A physician assistant can be a very rewarding career path and is probably worth reviewing if you’re considering medical school. We especially encourage prospective medical school applicants who are struggling with their MCAT and/or GPA to particularly consider this field. PAs do many of the same things as MDs but without the extra years of schooling.
Best of luck with your applications!
