The Wall Street Journal has a nice write up on what we call the pre-MBA internship. We happily discuss pre-entrance strategies with our admitted clients and it generally focuses on getting a head start on studying for any difficult classes they may be considering, looking into starting new clubs when they get to school, etc. However, we do on occasion recommend a pre MBA internship along the lines of what the WSJ article describes and, when we do, it’s usually because their post-MBA ambitions require a significant career change.
So what are your plans for the months leading up to starting your MBA?
Best of luck with your applications!

I like the pre entrance strategy consulting and I would have never thought of a pre mba internship. I can’t imagine many are in a position to do this though.
