We just wanted to make you aware of a report in theeagle.com that discusses some potentially severe issues at University of Arizona College of Medicine – Phoenix. The Arizona Medical Association has requested the state’s Board of Regents “examine the events and issues that led to the departures of the senior leadership team.” The association also expressed no confidence in the medical school’s leadership.
We are most definitely not trying to discourage you from applying to this medical school. There is a good chance that if it was your top-choice before this news broke, then it should still be your top choice medical school now. Instead, we want to use this as yet one more reason to carefully perform your due diligence on your target schools to ensure you optimize your educational investment. Please remember that transferring can be very difficult at many graduate school programs and it’s just about impossible at medical schools.
Best of luck with your applications!
