    Hello everyone!

We just wanted to tell you about a report on community colleges by WalletHub that ranks the 2-year junior colleges for 44 states. The study sampled 670 2-year schools and considered four major factors: (1) cost and financing, (2) classroom experience, (3) education outcomes and (4) career outcomes. Additionally, 17 metrics were weighted to complete the community college rankings.

We realize junior colleges have become increasingly attractive as movements have grown to make them free, particularly while four-year college tuition rates have continued to skyrocket. We also understand junior colleges can offer a better fit to students with less-than-stellar high school records as well as those who wish to remain close to home. We still, however, implore you to conduct a careful examination of the school with a close eye on academic support and graduation rates.

What do you think of the community colleges? Do you think it’s a good idea that some have expanded to offer 4-year degrees? Would you be more likely to attend a junior college if proposed legislation is passed and it became free?

Best of luck with your applications!

    Sincerely,

If the 4 years cant control their costs there will be more community colleges offering 4 year degrees.
