Chicago Booth received a $5 million gift from alum and former CDW CEO John Edwardson to bolster the school’s social entrepreneurship program. The Social Enterprise Initiative (SEI), will now be renamed the Edwardson Social Entrepreneurship Program and non-Booth students will have an opportunity to attend a “social entrepreneurship boot camp.”
We’ve certainly seen an increased interest in social entrepreneurship over the past several years both sincere and otherwise. (As a brief aside, we’ve had applicants contact us with the idea of using a social entrepreneurship theme to get their foot in the door at Booth and other top schools.) We believe many of our readers will find this news to be exciting and, as always, we’re happy to talk to you about your MBA career goals — social entrepreneurship or otherwise.
Best of luck with your applications!
Keep up with us on:
Love the diversity the boot camp brings
