    Hello everyone!

Washington Monthly has an interesting article about how Caribbean medical schools seem to be very lucrative for their owners. The article profiles a school where attrition ranges from 20%-27% (it’s about 3% at US medical schools) and average indebtedness is $253,000 (compared to $170,000 at US medical schools). The article concludes by stating a much lower percentage of this school’s graduates end up obtaining a US residency.

Best of luck with your applications!

    Sincerely,

Slate just wrote a pretty scathing article on this same topic. I’m glad it’s getting the press it deserves.
